Dr. JB Kirby, DNP, MS, ACNP-BC, ACNPC

Dr.

Dr. JB Kirby's journey in healthcare began uniquely as a firefighter and paramedic, where she was exposed to the fragility of human life. This experience ignited her interest in nursing, leading her to pursue an associate degree in Wytheville, VA, and later a master’s as a Nurse Practitioner from Wright State University.

Her dedication to the field was further exemplified when she became the first Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduate from The Ohio State University, where she established the first-ever Cancer Survivorship Clinic. Since 2004, Dr. Kirby has been a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, licensed in 20 states, and has embraced the evolving field of telemedicine.

Her academic contributions include teaching roles at Ohio State University, Mount Carmel College of Nursing and Chamberlain University, and she has served as a Merit Reviewer for PCORI, reviewing substantial grant proposals.
