Amelia is a licensed and registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) living in Charleston, SC. She specializes in a food-as-medicine approach to nutrition. She enjoys helping people with digestive health issues, autoimmune conditions, infertility & PCOS, and women’s hormones through menopause. Amelia is a functional medicine-based RDN and focuses on getting to the root cause of the issue with each client instead of a bandaid approach, so they can live a life full of health and vitality. She believes in daily movement and enjoys weightlifting and long walks with her family. In her spare time, when she isn't working, she likes hiking and camping in the mountains, creating new recipes and concoctions in her kitchen, homeschooling her daughter, dancing, and spending time with her family. Amelia is a professionally trained chef & pastry chef with a degree in Culinary Arts, having worked in restaurants and owned her own bakery specializing in made-to-order, allergy-friendly baked goods. She became interested in nutrition after receiving countless requests from clients for dietary advice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University in Denver, Colorado. Amelia has worked in the hospitality industry for close to 18 years and has worked as an RDN for the past 10+ years, working in hospitals, schools, private practice, and for online fitness & nutrition companies.
